This Saturday, 25 May, Ride London visits Maldon for the third time for stage two of the Classique race.

The event is fantastic to watch and we would recommend anyone local to visit town and spectate if they are able to.

About the Ford Ride London Classique.

The Ford RideLondon Classique is a three day UCI World Tour race. Stage One is Saffron Walden to Colchester, Stage Two Maldon to Maldon and Stage Three Central London.

Twenty teams and a selection of the world's best rides, including Britain's former world champion Lizzie Deignan will take part in the race.

This year the riders set out from Promenade Park, race East through Goldhanger and Tolleshunt D'arcy, before its most northerly point in the village of Birch.

Looping west the race enters Tiptree, before continuing onto Braxted and Beacon Hill. Fro here they will loops towards Little Baddow and Woodham Walter.

The race will do its first pass through Maldon and head towards Wickham Bishops and sprint number one at 74km.

The two further loops of the smaller circuit follow, with QoM and sprint points before a finish in Maldon High Street.
